After completing a reading module with the theme "Imagine! Invent!" and learning about inventors and inventions in the social studies and science curriculum, all Mintonye third graders received a visit from the Purdue University Women in Construction Management Honor Society. During their presentation, students listened to a story detailing the building process and learned about the field of Construction Management in addition to the school subjects that are needed for that career. Students also participated in a question and answer session, learned about the important safety gear worn by those in construction, and then designed their own hard hat.
