Leap year is a year with one extra day! 2024 will have 366 days instead of the usual 365. February 29th wasn't just an ordinary day in kindergarten at Mintonye. Mrs. Chase's class celebrated with a few extra special activities. With a fun read aloud, they discussed some facts about leap year and talked about what it would be like to celebrate your birthday on February 29th. In Math, they used a number line to leap and add.  The class followed the instructions of a directed drawing to learn to draw a frog.  The day was complete after creating a fun frog.
