Mrs. Frey’s Second Grade Class had a magical time celebrating St. Patrick’s Day! The students enjoyed a variety of fun activities, including a hands-on math lesson with Lucky Charms. Each student received a handful of cereal and sorted the pieces by marshmallow shapes and cereal bits. They created tally charts to count their marshmallows, then used that information to build different kinds of graphs while practicing greater than, less than, and fractions.

The best part? Everyone got to enjoy their Lucky Charms at the end of the activity—plus a special birthday treat! It was a day full of learning, laughter, and a little bit of leprechaun magic. 🍀
