Grinch Self-Portraits Spread Holiday Cheer at Mintonye Elementary
Kristy Delp

Mrs. Bell’s students at Mintonye Elementary recently showcased their creativity through a fun and festive art project—Grinch self-portraits! Each student began with the same Grinch head stencil, but from there, their imaginations took over. Using unique colors, accessories, facial expressions, and personal details, students transformed their Grinch into a reflection of themselves and how they see the world. From hairstyles, makeup, and freckles to the frame of their portrait, this activity encouraged self-expression, creativity, and confidence.

Students loved the opportunity to express themselves and proudly share their creations with classmates. These one-of-a-kind portraits will also be featured as part of the schoolwide door decorating contest, and Mrs. Bell’s students are excited to contribute to their classroom display. We are so proud of their hard work and creativity!
