Mrs. Grider's first grade class has been busy getting ready for the upcoming holidays.  On Thursday, December 19th the class celebrated the beloved classic book from Dr. Suess titled, How the Grinch Stole Christmas. The students had a chance to incorporate fun with learning by reviewing concepts previously taught in first grade.  

Grinch day did not end there for Mintonye.  Miss Delp's kindergarten class also had a book study on How the Grinch Stole Christmas on December 19th.  “I loved the book,” said Allie R.  The class worked together to create a story map and review parts of a story including; setting, characters, and the problem to be solved.  Stella R. said, “My favorite part of the day was watching the movie.”Miss Delp's kindergarten also painted Grinch Faces and wrote about how to make the Grinch grin.  

Mrs. Schurman's kindergarten celebrated Grinch Day too!  The class made a Grinch craft, created a Grinch sentence, and wrote about what they would do to make the Grinch grin. It was a fun day had by all!
